Exploding Cinema returns to the fabulous SET Social in Peckham this Thursdayfor a spectacular bumper show featuring 28 amazing short films ! Expect underground cinema, folk animation, no budget drama,outsider video art, abstract magic, poetic documentaries and much more...and of course
we’ll be bringing our eye swivelling kaleidoscope of clapped out projectors, big PRIZE raffle and a live band !!!
Active constantly since 1991, Exploding Cinema regularly screens underground film in squats, pubs, clubs, cafes and halls across the UK and around the world. Fighting against industry elitism, we’ve shown more than five thousand low or no budget films/videos and staged shows in disused factories, office blocks, circus tents, churches and in the deep end of a squatted Lido. All shows are open access, volunteer-run and held regularly since 1991.

At Exploding Cinema anyone can screen their film and anyone can join the collective.
