Just as the echoes of our Exploding *LIVE* Cinema night began to quiet, the venue that hosted our celebration received some EVICTION news! Iklectik https://www.iklectik.org/ will have to close its doors within the next 2 months. The sucker punch came from their landlord, Guy's St. Thomas Foundation, who promised not to do it but ...

Since we met, Iklectik have been there for us - welcoming our shows, giving us hugs and staying late for everybody to enjoy meeting new friends and chatting - and we want to be there for them. So we call on YOU, our adoring audiences, our fellow underground weirdos! Let's help our friends stay open and continue fostering the crazy cutting edge shit they've been so good at supporting.

Here'sthe PLAN:
* Write personally or as an organisation / collective to Michael Gove. He's already put a temporary halt on that real estate development project. Make him cancel the demolition of the site completely. (https://www.savewaterlooparadise.com/write-to-the-secretary-of-state)

* Guy's St. Thomas Foundation are playing a dirty game trying to kick their tenants out of Old Paradise Yard without any real need (more info https://www.iklectik.org/saveiklectik). Talk about their actions publicly on socials using the hashtags: #saveIKLECTIK #savewaterlooparadise #shameonGSTTfoundation . Tag @iklectikartlab in posts on Instagram and Twitter plus @save_waterloo_paradise @gsttfoundation

* It's always nice to hear words of support and know that you matter to people, so fire up an email to info at iklectikartlab.com with the subject “SAVE IKLECTIK” and tell them this plus your original ideas on how to help the situation.

* Finally, Tomorrow, on Thursday 2nd of November, @save_waterloo_paradise are organising a demo at 1pm, directly in front of the Guy's and St Thomas' foundation offices. Show up if you have time.
